Nigerian actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has announced the birth of a baby boy with his wife, Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, seven months after regaining his freedom from prison.
The actor shared the joyful news in an Instagram post on Monday, expressing gratitude to God for the arrival of their son, whom they named King Kagar Omiyinka.
“In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell… We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy,” Baba Ijesha wrote.
He also paid tribute to his wife, praising her strength and describing her as a blessing, saying God had given him “more than I prayed for.”
His wife, Abiodun, also celebrated the birth of their son with an emotional message, describing the newborn as their “little miracle” after years of waiting.
“Our little star has arrived to brighten our lives… Our little miracle is finally here,” she wrote, while dedicating Bible verses to their son and declaring him “chosen.”
The announcement comes months after Baba Ijesha completed his prison sentence. In July 2022, a Lagos High Court sentenced the actor to 16 years’ imprisonment after convicting him of offences including indecent treatment of a child and sexual assault. He regained his freedom in November 2025 after serving part of the sentence in line with the court’s ruling.
