NBA to Shut Portal Temporarily for System Upgrade Amid Stamp and BPF Glitches

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced a temporary downtime of its online portal as it begins a system upgrade aimed at resolving persistent technical issues.

In a notice signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Bridget Edokwe Esq., the NBA said it received several complaints from members regarding glitches affecting the ordering of NBA stamps, payment of Bar Practising Fees (BPF), and other portal services.

According to the Association, the upgrade is designed to improve efficiency and enhance user experience across the platform.

The NBA clarified that BPF payments can currently only be made via the web portal, advising members to use:

It also disclosed that the NBA mobile app is presently under maintenance and may be inaccessible during the upgrade period.

The scheduled maintenance will run from Thursday, January 22 to Tuesday, January 27, 2025, during which some portal services may be temporarily unavailable.

The Association appealed to members for patience and cooperation, assuring them that further updates will be communicated once the upgrade is completed.
